About The Harvard Square Center

The Harvard Square Center is a 501 (c) (3), non-profit organization located at 13510 Harvard Avenue. Established in May of 2014, The Harvard Square Center was created to provide public programs and resources. Our goal is to help the community and to reduce hunger and provide essential resources in Southeast Cleveland to promote self-sustainability and wellness.

To develop individuals and families above profit, fostering to serve the community by offering programs and resources that will transform lives personally and professionally in order to build stronger communities.

President, Lester DeVese is a Cleveland native with a passion to serve. In 1996, Lester DeVese began serving the Cleveland area when he became an Environmental Service Supervisor at Hospice of the Western Reserve, Medical Assistant and phlebotomist at the Cleveland Health Care for the Homeless and Cleveland Clinic Hospital. During his time at The Cleveland Clinic Hospital, Lester was recognized by the hospital newsletter for his dedicated service to the patients. The recognition proved that after working stressful hours, his focus remained on serving people. Later in life, Lester knew that his passion has yet to be fulfilled and believed that more could be done within the Cleveland communities. His passion and beliefs led him to open The Harvard Square Center.

He formed The Harvard Square Center which encompasses his passions: to motivate, feed, educate, cloth, train and inspire others.
